"It's not about changing your child. It's about changing the dynamic."

You know this feeling

You are not failing.
You are using tools
built for a different problem.

The arguments that start from nowhere. The defiance that seems to have no limit. The evenings where you cry in the car, or lie awake wondering what you're doing wrong.

You've tried being firm. You've tried being soft. Reward charts, consequences, ignoring it, talking it through. You've read the books. And still, at home, things are escalating. You are in a situation that most parenting advice was not designed for. There is a different way through.

  • OLD Reward charts and consequences that assume a calm, cooperative child
  • OLD Strategies that only work if your child agrees to play along
  • OLD Managing the behaviour directly — and getting more resistance back
  • NVR Presence, not power — calm determination instead of reactive anger
  • NVR Works without your child's buy-in — you don't need them to agree or participate
  • NVR Rebuilds the relationship while you hold the boundary, not instead of it
What is NVR?

An approach built
for the hardest situations.

Non-Violent Resistance was developed by Israeli psychologist Professor Haim Omer. It grew out of work with families where children's behaviour had become controlling, dangerous, or completely unmanageable, and where conventional approaches had already failed.

NVR gives parents a framework to act with calm determination rather than reactive anger. It helps you build back the relationship while holding firm boundaries. And crucially, it works even when your child does not want to engage.

You stop trying to win the battle. You start showing up differently: more present, more grounded, less reactive. Over time, that changes the dynamic at home. Not because your child has been fixed. Because you have found a steadier place to stand.

"NVR in plain English: you stop trying to win the battle."

  • NVR is About your presence and your relationship with your child, not winning battles
  • NVR is Suitable for parents of children of all ages, with or without a diagnosis
  • NVR is not A punishment system, a reward chart, or a quick fix
  • NVR is not Something that requires your child to agree or participate
